Spring Day for Europe 2009 closes

With more than 6500 registered schools, more than 5000 contributions and more than 400 guests visiting schools, Spring Day for Europe was a success again. More than 8000 teachers and guests encouraged students to experience creativity and innovation at school and contribute to the campaign with outcomes published in 23 languages on this Web portal.

This Web portal features information about the Spring Day for Europe 2009 campaign that took place from 25 March to 30 June 2009.

As of 1 July 2009 the portal has been archived. The Spring Day team would like to thank the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment that made the campaign a success in 2009, the European Year of Creativity and Innovation and the year of the European elections.

The Spring Day campaign benefited from the support of European Commission Vice President Wallström, European Parliament President Pöttering, Commissioner Figel, Commissioner Kovács, Commissioner Ferrero-Waldner, Commissioner Vassiliou, Commissioner Kuneva, Commissioner Orban, more than 70 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), former Polish President Wałęsa, EESC President Sepi, CoR Vice-President Delebarre, Professor Bengt-Åke Lundvall, Domenico Lenarduzzi and Marc Levy.
